Bob is a pedophile but he calls himself a "pedosexual" in order to portray his deviant sexual desires as a mere sexual orientation. The rest of us know Bob is really just mentally ill.

Calling a pedosexual a pedophile deprives our language of the word for one who shows natural affection for children and creates an offensive, degrading, and intimidating environment for people displaying natural affection for children. This discourages people from displaying natural affection toward children, starving children of the affection they need, and making them more susceptible to the comparatively affectionate advances of pedosexuals.
